What we do
Our Housekeeping staff, known as Scouts, will undertake the general cleaning of rooms and communal areas - they will access your room at least weekly to do this, and will collect rubbish daily. However, students are responsible for making their own beds, doing their own washing-up and keeping their rooms neat and tidy.
Our Maintenance team are on hand to deal with any issues, from damaged furniture to broken heating systems. The best way to report any problem is to email faults@lmh.ox.ac.uk (please note emails must be sent from an @lmh email address). Report issues as soon as you can, and remember to include your room number and be as clear as you can about the specific problem.
Laundry
LMH has four laundry rooms on site in Kathleen Lea, Talbot, Old Old Hall and the Clore Graduate Centre, and these services are provided by WashCo. You can pay by card at the machine, and a wash cycle is £3.10, £3.30 or £3.50 depending on the cycle. A drying cycle costs £1.40. Hypoallergenic detergent is preadded in Clore, Talbot and Old Old Hall, but not in the Kathleen Lea laundry. If you encounter any problems contact bursary@lmh.ox.ac.uk.
